Edelsteine: Aquamarin, oval facettiert, ungefasst. Größe: 40,65 x 33,1 x 19,7 mm. Gewicht: 173,0 ct (entspricht 34,71g). Intensives Hellblau. Aquamarin ist die blaue Varietät des Silikat-Minerals Beryll und kristallisiert daher ebenso wie dieser im hexagonalen Kristallsystem. Seine blaue Farbe erhält der Aquamarin durch Fremdbeimengung von zwei- und dreiwertigen Eisen-Ionen. Der Name ist aus dem Lateinischen abgeleitet und bedeutet "Wasser des Meeres" - ein Bezug auf die zartblaue bis blaugrüne Farbe des Minerals. Das hier angebotene Stück stellt in dieser Größe eine einzigartige und sammelwürdige Rarität dar. Gutachten (März 2008) vom Michael Harrer, Diamant & Edelsteingutachten, mit einem Wiederbeschaffungswert in Höhe von 103.800 Euro, liegt vor. (S)
