Erste Ausgabe dieses prachtvollen und luxuriös ausgestatteten Reisewerkes über Neapel und Sizilien. - Die prachtvollen Kupfer zeigen Stadtansichten, Landschaften, Bauten und Kunstgegenstände der Antike, darunter 24 Darstellungen griechischer Vasen in farb. Aquatinta-Radierungen. - Vorliegend wohl ein früher Druck des Werkes, noch ohne die zusätzlichen 14 gest. Münztafeln (die als Vignetten im Werk jedoch vorhanden sind), Tafel 75bis in Bd. 2 und die meist fehlende Phallustafel. - Stellenw. etw. gebräunt bzw. stockfl., vord. Vorsätze und Titel mit Besitzerstempel "Fernán Nuñez". Sonst gutes und breitrandiges Exemplar auf stärkerem Papier.
